Well-appointed and large room, clean hotel in general.
Nice bed, best bathroom and a flat-screen TV with cable channels, climate control, and a personal safe in the room. Best possible location not far from european branded shops, and the roof top restaurant, and above average breakfast. For tea or coffee visit Mike's Breakfast nearby.

I stayed here before and after hiking the Annapurna circuit. The staff were really friendly and recognized me when I returned from my trek. The rooms were clean and spacious, with one of the best showers I experienced in Nepal. The rooftop restaurant was fantastic, serving delicious food at reasonable prices. The location is just outside the bustling Thamel area, but still within walking distance. There are also convenient amenities like bottled water in the rooms and the option for late check-out. I would happily stay here again.
100% Recommend this hotel.

The staff where very friendly and helpful, and the hotel is in a good location. It is a few minutes walk from Thamel, but it is far enough away from it to be quiet at night.
I initially booked an economy room at $50 a night. When I arrived, I found that the room smelt very musty, the beds where very old ( the state of the mattresses was disgusting), and the fittings in the room (especially the bathroom) where broken and filthy. I upgraded to the "deluxe" room at $70 a night, because the economy room was just too disgusting to stay in. The deluxe room was much better. It seemed to have been redone, because it was newer and much less shabby and broken down. I was shocked at the economy room. I read reviews on this hotel before I booked it, and I think that they did not reflect the state of the economy room at all. The one that I was initailly going to stay in was on the 3rd floor at the end of the corridor. I would recommend avoiding this room at all costs!

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is in excellent condition and kept spotless. The Japanese restaurant on the 1st floor was excellent, as was the bar/restaurant on the 9th floor. The facilities were top-notch and the recent refurbishment made everything feel brand new. I was especially impressed with how accommodating the staff were towards children. The location is also fantastic, with great restaurants and shops nearby.
Would recommend this hotel.

There was nothing I liked in this hotel. It was horrible. Everything was dirty. I was supposed to stay for three nights here but I stayed for only one night. The moment I entered my room I already wanted to leave but since it was already so late I decided to stay at least for that night. But I called the Reception right away and advised them that I am checking out in the morning. I couldn't sleep the whole night. The bed was terrible. I placed towel on it so that somehow I could lay down (both towels and bed covers can be used to scrub your corns and calluses). This is fine for men maybe but if you are a lady I am not sure you can stay longer in this hotel. I booked here because I wanted to save some money but that decision was so wrong. That night I right away made a booking to another hotel (Everest Hotel).

Great choice for trip. Wonderful place, free parking, exceptional staff. Very central location, around 10-15 minutes walk from Kathmandu Valley. Decent stay in comfortable area. Early check-in, late check-out. No charge for late check-out and wake up service too.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The room was incredibly clean, and the housekeeping staff made sure it stayed spotless throughout our 5-night stay. The bed was very comfortable, and the pillows were great too. We also appreciated the excellent Wi-Fi connection and the availability of bottled water in the room. Additionally, the hotel's location was convenient, being just a 12-minute walk from the vibrant city center.
Don't have any issues at all.

I enjoyed the friendly dinning room staff. The concierge type fellow was very helpful and willingly assisted us with a cab out the front of the building. I also felt the security guard on duty on the evening of my stay to be pleasant and kindly.
The receptionist was icy cold. The beds were uncomfortable. Someones thongs were still on the floor in the room. The grounds were littered with rubble. It was on a busy highway and so was quite noisey. The photo online did not represent accurately what the real thing was like. The cleaner was asking for the key 2hrs before checkout - as it happened we were leaving anyway.

Location: the hotel was short walk to Kathmandu and european branded shops and the roof top restaurant. A cool bonus was nearby Mike's Breakfast, that offered tea and coffee.

The room amenities at Ambassador By Ace Hotels were impressive. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. I particularly liked the sandwich and soup restaurant downstairs, it provided good value for money. The location was also convenient, just a short walk to the shopping district Thamel. I would recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay.

Rooms were nice, staff were friendly and cooperative, assisted with organising tours etc. The security staff were also friendly and helpful.
I expected to pay the agreed rate at the time of the booking, but this isn't how it works at this hotel. When I went to confirm what I owed I was told one figure, 4 hours later when returning with the money the price had increased 30%. I'm told the price fluctuates according to the exchange rate movements. This was a con, the exchange rate used by the hotel was much less favourable than Western Union were quoting down the road.
